About Global Dance Parties
Global Dance Parties was founded for the purpose of spreading the joy of dance, celebrating diversity and cultures, and building community.
Large group dance experiences are joyful, and can be used to facilitate conversation and understanding. They can spark curiosity about other cultures and world issues, and provide opportunities to shift our ideas and connect us to a broader world.
Meet our instructor
Hi! My name is Susan Morgan
Susan has decades of experience learning dances, songs, and music from other cultures. Over time, she transitioned into a teaching role, spreading the joy of dance, and appreciation of other cultures and folk traditions.
As a teaching artist, she can offer different programs to meet the needs of your school, business, or community.

Examples include:

Global Dance Classes to explore folk music and dance from different cultures around the globe. Easy dances from Bolivia, South Africa, the British Isles, Israel, Turkey, Scandinavia, Macedonia, Ireland, French Canada and the United States may be used. This program can easily be tied to curriculum in the areas of social studies, music, social skills, and health education.

Diversity Week Global Dance Parties to broaden students’ exposure to and appreciation of other cultures.

Community Cultural Awareness Dance to bring community members together to learn Group Dances, Work Together, and Experience Joy as a community. This can be one tool to help end divisiveness and increase community cooperation and problem-solving.
